Xuan Jun, the education project manager of the College of Forestry, University of British Columbia, Canada, visited to our college

On March 8th, 2023, Xuan Jun, the Education Program Manager of the College of Forestry at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada, visited our college to discuss a collaboration between the UBC College of Forestry and our student training international exchange program. Yang Hongxue (Deputy Director of Academic Affairs), Ji Xiaoyan (Deputy Director of International Cooperation), Gao Zhenhua and Li Shujun (Associate Deans of the College of Materials Science and Engineering) and Fan Rujie (Chief of Graduate Education Section of Graduate School) attended the discussion.

At the forum, Xuan Jun gave a brief introduction to the College of Forestry at UBC and the international exchange programs for UBC students. Associate Dean Li Shujun introduced the Northeast Forestry University and discussed participation in the existing international exchange program with UBC students, noting that such programs can broaden students' international horizons, improve their international competitiveness and enhance the international level of talent training. It is hoped that the two sides will continue relevant, in depth cooperation. Associate Dean Gao Zhenhua, Deputy Director Ji Xiaoyan, Deputy Director Yang Hongxue and Section Chief Fan Rujie also provided opinions and suggestions, from their own personal perspectives, on how to optimize student training and international exchange programs and the two sides then discussed the specific conditions of the collaboration.

Finally, Associate Dean Li Shujun expressed heartfelt thanks to Xuan Jun for her visit and efforts to further extend exchanges and collaboration between the University of British Columbia and Northeast Forestry University .
